The SARS-CoV-2 DETECT Kit detects viral RNA of the SARS-CoV-2 virus by real time RT-PCR.

The kit is ready-to-use and contains a reaction mix , primer-probe mix and enzyme mix for the amplification of a specific fragment of the E gene of SARS-CoV-2. The sample material is extracted from nasopharyngeal swabs according to known methods. The kit contains a recombinant positive control.
