Hepatitis A Virus (HAV)
Measurements specific of IgM antibodies in human serum by ELISA or the detection of HAV antigen as well as the detection of HAV-RNA by RT-PCR in feces and/or serum are used for the diagnostics of an acute HAV infection.
Since its early days Mediagnost produces the Hepatitis A Virus and monoclonal antibodies against it for Mediagnost test systems and as raw material for other diagnostic companies. Mediagnost offers own test systems for the detection of anti-HAV antibodies (IgM und gesamt Ig), HAV- Antigen and HAV-RNA.
Mediagnost developed a test system for the detection of humand IgG antibodies against antigens of Pseudomonas aerugionsa. This test system can be used as supplement for microbiological detection of Pseudomonas aeruginosa infections in cystic fibrosis patients.
In the field of enteroviruses Mediagnost developed a highly specific monoclonal antibody for the detection of the Coxsackievirus B3. This antibody can be used for different applications like immunohistology (paraffin), immunoflourescence, western blotting, flow cytometry and ELISA.
